Connexion2 hosts a dedicated training module for all Housing Association personnel who either want to learn more about Conflict Resolution, or who could benefit directly from a better understanding of such techniques and when to deploy them as a lone worker.
Based centrally in Birmingham for ease, the event gives a Housing Sector organisation the opportunity to train one or several lone workers in conflict resolution in a simple and cost effective way. The event is also applicable to all lone worker types within the Housing Sector whether it be a liaison, support or maintenance job role.
Upon completion of the course delegates will be able to:

Explain how body language may affect behaviour |

Explain three communication models which may assist in the management of conflict |

Define how and when to use lone worker safety technology in a conflict situation |

Discuss the three ego states in transactional analysis |

Define what is meant by the term ‘danger triangle' |

Identify warning signs and danger signs |
|
|
Explain the term ‘Impact Factor' and give examples |

Implement the ‘Reactionary Gap' |
|
|
Define what is meant by reasonable force and how it relates to conflict resolution |

|
Explain the value of incident reporting |
The day-long event is also tailored specifically towards the Housing sector with a chance for attendees to share common issues, best practices and to network with industry colleagues. The event will also feature a guest speaker, Bob Stevens, Health & Safety Manager at Viridian Housing.
The event costs only £110 plus VAT to attend and includes free car parking and lunch and refreshments all day.
