Spain

Statistics from Spain (Source: LFS 2007) list the number of workers reporting an accident at work over a 12 month period as being at 3.9%. Fatal accidents at work over the same period were recorded at 332 excluding work related road traffic accidents (which were recorded separately at 240 over the same period).

A separate study of mobbing (bullying) in the Spanish public administration (Source: Violence at Work 3rd edition) recorded that over 20% of staff had suffered this form of violence routinely as part of their duties. Recorded levels of physical violence have fallen to 1%of workers in 2000 - however it was referenced that workers in certain industry sectors such as public administration, do suffer more incidents of this type.
