In France evidence of attacks on workers in the transport sector have been on the rise over recent years - particularly for transport workers and taxi drivers (Source: Violence at Work 3rd edn). The chart below clearly shows a gradual increase over a six-year period resulting in 3210 attacks recorded in 2002.
