Identicom Mobile

Windows Mobile

Identicom Mobile Red AlertIdenticom mobile is a lone worker application specifically designed to give a user much of the functionality and safety benefits of the Identicom lone worker device but instead on a smartphone. If a lone worker is encountering a situation where they feel their safety could be compromised they can use the application to obtain the necessary response through their smartphone. The product is available for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone and Windows Mobile devices currently.

Developed for users facing infrequent risk
Identicom mobile was launched in May 2010 due to the fact that certain groups of lone workers will face risks only on an infrequent basis. This may result in an employer, when assessing such a workers risk profile, deciding that a dedicated lone worker device such as Identicom might not be applicable for reasons of cost or usage level. Infrequent lone workers are also potential smartphone carriers, thus making a dedicated lone worker application such as Identicom mobile easy to use and to integrate within their current routine.

Consistent Interface
The product uses the same function terminology as Identicom also utilising Amber Alerts and Red Alerts as key functions. This gives a customer requiring a solution with a mixture of devices the ability to provide whilst minimising cost due to the ability to share training and communication materials for commonality.

Identicom mobile on Android platformOperates when the keylock function is deployed
Usage of a smartphone to obtain help in a conflict situation is obviously more overt than through a discreet and dedicated device like Identicom. Some smartphone applications do not allow a user to raise an alarm through a designated key whilst the key lock function is employed, Identicom mobile does. The application allows the manual opening of a ‘Red Alert' through the menu but also through a definable key.

User friendly & easy to install
The product also marks an improvement on many lone worker smartphone applications in terms of its user interface, with an elegant design. Identicom mobile is also easy to install and use. The application is installed simply through clicking a URL link and following several step by step instructions.

Available as a stand alone product or in tandem with the Mobile Workforce Management Platform
The platform can operate purely as a stand-alone product but is also able to integrate with our Mobile Workforce Management Platform.

Identicom mobile is available to all authorised resellers and through SoloProtect.

Identicom mobile is currently available for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone and Windows Mobile devices.

* Please note - due to the functionality of iPhone it is not possible for a solution featuring that device type to be compliant against BS8484.

Identicom mobile on Psion's rugged EP10Carry a Rugged Device?

Identicom mobile is not just available for use on a traditional smartphone but is also compatible with rugged PDA devices commonly used by lone workers in the utilities, housing and logistics sectors.

The Windows Mobile version of Identicom mobile utilises all the features common with the BlackBerry variant including sleek user-interface, and Amber & Red Alert functionality. In addition the product also utilises touch-screen functionality common to Windows Mobile devices.

Pictured on the Psion EP10, this is the first version of Identicom mobile available including an atomatic 'Man Down' function should a user become incapacitated due to illness or a slip or fall. Tilt sensors in the EP10 facilitate this function in the same way an Identicom lone worker device with 'Man Down' operates.
