Connexion2's Identicom i777 with Man-Down provides all the proven benefits of the existing Identicom product, protecting lone workers from abuse or attack, whilst incorporating the capability for a monitoring centre to be alerted, either manually or automatically, in the case of injury or incapacity of the user.
State-of-the-art signal processing technology analyses tilt, immobility and any sudden impacts, in combination with non-response timed alerts. This, in addition to a rip alarm and discreetly operable red alert button helps to detect an employee in difficulty, and raise an alarm across the mobile phone network, whilst minimising false alarms.
The Identicom i777 incorporates the capability for a location fix (GPS) to be sent from the unit in the event of an incident. The frequency at which GPS location data is taken by the i777 is highly configurable as are the conditions under which this information is sent, typically to an alarm receiving centre (ARC).
The Identicom i777 maintains the unique ID card format and incorporates GPS with no obvious external signs thereby ensuring the user is able to wear and use the i777 in a discreet fashion.
Existing features that assist users with dynamic risk assesment and the overall simplicity of use are common to all Identicom variants. GPS location data can be fed from the unit at defined points in time or with a higher regularity if the user raises a red alert. All GPS data when sent to the ARC includes both current AND last known position (two seperate readings). This enables more a more intelligent view to be taken by an ARC on location, particularly if a current reading is effected because the lone worker is indoors.
The Identicom i777 can be worn in a rugged, weather resistant, silicone case that attaches to the user's belt. Maintaining a clear window on the user's identity card and easy in-situ access to the red alert button, a quick release mechanism enables easy access to the Identicom to check status and leave amber alert messages without having to remove the case.
The Identicom i777 with Man-Down addresses risks from abuse, attack and injury, providing employers with a means of reducing their exposure to costs of insurance and litigation resulting from regulatory, legislative and employee bodies.
