History
Connexion2 was created in December 2003 following two years of research and development into the lone worker market. The result of this research was the Identicom lone worker device which has rapidly become the de-facto standard for all community based lone working staff who face risk.
The Identicom was the result of research into the issues and challenges faced by lone workers. For those workers who carry a risk of verbal abuse or physical attack, it is important to be able to carry out dynamic risk assesment but also raise an alert in a discreet fashion so as not to increase risk further from an agressor. Identicom's unique and patent protected 'ID card' form factor ensures the device is always within immeditae reach and operation can be carried out without breaking eye contact with an agressor. The knock on benefit is an ability to capture credible audio evidence of a situation (including verbal abuse) and to manage an immediate and proportional escalation.
For those workers who carry a risk of slips, trips, falls or other form of environemntal risk (e.g. working with chemicals or electricity) there are versions of the Identicom which automatically alarm if they see signs of incapacitation.
Connexion2 has continued to innovate and has been instrumental in improving the safety (and therefore productivity) of tens of thousands of lone working professionals. Today, Connexion2 not only delivers credible technoloigy based solutions but has complemented these with a range of training and consultancy services designed to help any organisation implement an effective and complete policy.
Connexion2 is proud to be a British company and has ensured that its products and servcies are developed and manufactured close to its South Yorkshire HQ.
