I would like an Identicom

If you are a lone worker then your employer has a legal duty of care to ensure your safety whilst at work.

Identicom has been specifically designed for lone workers who are at risk of injury, abuse or attack whilst operating away from other co-workers. Identicom addresses many of the usability issues associated with other 'panic alarm' type devices and/or mobile phones, and will provide you with an easy, immediate and discreet way of raising an alert. Identicom devices are also available that include the capability to automatically raise an alert in case of injury or incapacity of the user.

Furthermore it can assist you and your employer in capturing audio evidence of an incident. All too often professional workers today can be verbally abused and yet no action can be taken against an aggressor because of a lack of evidence. Being equipped with Identicom means this is no longer the case.

Firstly, we recommend that you speak with your immediate line manager or the designated person who is responsible for the Health and Safety of you and your colleagues about the benefits of Identicom. A risk assessment will normally be carried out. Other useful people to contact would be your company's union representative. This person, will be able to help you ascertain how to go about introducing Identicom into your place of work.

If you have experienced abuse or attack, or feel at risk from these factors, or from injury, whilst at work then Identicom could provide you with total peace of mind leaving you to carry out your role in a more productive fashion. Identicom also helps your employer meet their legal and moral duty of care to you.

If you would like to speak with one of the Connexion2 team about the process involved in introducing Identicom into your organisation then please do not hesitate to contact us; we will be happy to help.
