A SoloProtect solution featuring the Identicom i777 provides a lone worker the ability to respond to both social and environmental risks faced through the device being GPS enabled and equipped with an automatic ‘Man Down' alarm.

The Man Down function is an automatic version of the ‘Red Alert' function on all identicom lone worker devices and this again triggers the device to make a telephone call to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) in the event of the unit being tilted through 75 ° combined with a definable period of non-movement by the user. In the event of both eventualities taking place the Man Down alarm will activate.

In addition the i777's GPS functionality allows a lone worker to communicate GPS coordinates via text message (SMS) to the ARC whenever a function is carried out on the device. This data is only accessed in the event of a red alert situation and takes the most current location data only. This enables the user to retain control of their location data whilst giving peace of mind the ARC can access location data to help them if they are requested to do so through the Red Alert function.

All audio evidence obtained through the device is also recorded by the ARC as standard. This is credible audio evidence and is admissible in court proceedings at a later date. Audio evidence through Identicom has been used to aid successful criminal convictions.
